Acceptable use policy
Last updated
This policy says what you may and may not do with SellingIO, and what happens when it is broken. It covers this marketing site and the sync product. It sits with the terms of use.
Purpose
SellingIO is for merchants who connect their own channels and keep one canonical catalogue and one stock number. This policy exists so that use stays within that scope, and so other merchants and the service itself are not harmed.
Prohibited content
Do not use SellingIO to store, pull, or push content that is illegal where you operate.
Do not put malware, exploit code, or other harmful software into listings, media, order notes, or any other field the sync copies.
Do not sync listings you do not have the right to sell.
This is not a list of every illegal category. If the content is unlawful, or you do not have the right to list it, it does not belong in SellingIO.
Prohibited conduct
Do not do any of the following:
- Abuse the service β overload it, disrupt it, or interfere with another merchant's sync.
- Scrape other shops through SellingIO, or use the service to collect another merchant's catalogue, stock numbers, or orders.
- Circumvent access controls, probe for weaknesses, or try to reach an account that is not yours.
- Share sign-in details to evade limits, or pretend to be another merchant.
- Use SellingIO to send unsolicited bulk messages to buyers.
Compliance with the policies of every connected channel
Connecting a channel does not replace that channel's rules.
For every Shopify store you connect, you must follow Shopify's terms and policies, including those of the Shopify App Store where they apply. For every TikTok Shop you connect, you must follow TikTok Shop's terms and policies. Offline stores remain subject to the law that applies to that store.
If Shopify or TikTok Shop suspends or closes a shop you connected, that decision is theirs. SellingIO does not override it.
Reporting abuse
If you think this policy is being broken, tell us through the contact form.
We read reports when they arrive. We do not run automated scanning of catalogues for policy breaches.
Enforcement and consequences
We review reports case by case. We do not claim automated enforcement.
We may restrict, suspend, or terminate an account that breaks this policy. We may also tell the connected channel when the breach is on that channel.
Serious or repeated breaches can end the account. Disconnecting a channel stops the sync for that channel; it does not undo a suspension of the SellingIO account.
