Cookie policy

This page lists what sellingio.com stores in your browser, and how to change your choices. Most of what we store is not a cookie. That distinction is the point of this document.
Cookies versus local storage
A cookie is sent to a server with later requests. Local storage stays in your browser and is not sent automatically.
This site uses both. The table below says which is which.
What this site stores
| Name | Kind | Set when | Purpose |
|---|---|---|---|
NEXT_LOCALE | First-party cookie | Always | Remembers the language you chose. Essential. |
_ga, | Third-party cookie (Google Analytics 4) | Only after you accept analytics | Aggregate traffic measurement. anonymize_ip is enabled. |
sellingio_cookie_consent | Local storage, not a cookie | When you answer the banner | Remembers your cookie choice. |
| Theme preference | Local storage, not a cookie | When you switch light/dark | Remembers the theme. |
The Google Analytics 4 script loads only after you accept analytics. anonymize_ip is enabled. If analytics is not configured on this site, the _ga cookies are not set.
How to accept or reject analytics
On first visit, a banner offers two choices of equal prominence: accept all, or essential only.
- Accept all. Analytics cookies (
_ga,_ga_<id>) may be set if analytics is configured. - Essential only. Analytics stays off.
NEXT_LOCALEstill works. Your choice is written to local storage so the banner does not ask again until you clear it.
Rejecting non-essential cookies does not remove NEXT_LOCALE. That cookie is essential.
How to change your choices
There is no in-page toggle after you answer the banner.
To change your analytics choice, delete sellingio_cookie_consent from this site's local storage, then reload. The banner asks again.
To delete _ga cookies already set, use your browser's cookie controls. Changing your choice and reloading stops this site from loading the analytics script. Cookies already stored stay until you delete them.
Personal data beyond cookies is covered in the privacy policy.
