One stock number
Understand how shared stock keeps every connected sales channel aligned.
SellingIO gives each SKU one shared stock position across its connected channels. TikTok Shop, Shopify, and offline stores do not need separate numbers that someone reconciles by hand.
When a sale happens on one channel, that sale reduces the shared stock. SellingIO can then send the remaining quantity to the other connected channels, so they keep selling from the same pool.
Why one pool matters
If every channel holds an unrelated number, two channels can sell the last unit at the same time. One shared position reduces that overselling risk and the cancellations and customer apologies that follow.
The number is still held by warehouse. SellingIO's inventory matrix shows each SKU across warehouses, its lowest warehouse quantity, and its total quantity. The By store view lets you inspect one warehouse at a time.
What keeps channels aligned
- Each channel location must be mapped to the warehouse that owns its stock.
- A channel connection must be active before SellingIO can send stock updates.
- A SKU must remain linked to its channel listing. For Shopify, that link starts when the first sync pulls existing listings in.
If a channel appears out of date, check its connection and warehouse mapping before changing the stock number by hand.
