How orders arrive
Follow an order from a connected sales channel into SellingIO.
Orders from a connected channel arrive in SellingIO on their own. There is no manual order import step.
From sale to order record
- The sales channel notifies SellingIO when an order is created or changes.
- SellingIO fetches the full order from the channel, including its current status, items, buyer, shipping, and payment fields that the channel provides.
- SellingIO stores or updates the order and makes it available in the order list.
Repeated notifications do not create duplicate orders. A later notification refreshes the existing record and its status.
What happens to stock
The sale also changes available stock on the channel. SellingIO receives that inventory change, updates the shared stock position, and sends the remaining quantity to other active channels whose locations are mapped to the same warehouse.
Order intake and inventory updates are separate background events, so the order and its new stock number may not appear at exactly the same moment. You do not need to import either one by hand.
To understand the shared stock position, read one stock number. If stock does not move, follow the checks in order troubleshooting.
