Create a store

A store represents a physical place where you sell and hold counter stock. Creating one also creates its dedicated warehouse and per-SKU inventory mapping, so the stock can join the same pool as your online channels.

Create the store

1. Open Stores

   In the merchant dashboard, open Stores and choose Create store.

2. Enter the store code and name

   Enter a unique store code and the name your team will recognise. Both fields are required. The store code is locked after creation, while the name can be edited later.

3. Enter the address

   Enter the address line, which is required. You can also add ward, district, city, country, and postal code.

4. Save the store

   Review the details and save. SellingIO adds the store to the Stores list and creates the dedicated warehouse behind it.

How to check it worked

Open the new store from the Stores list. Its information page shows the store code, status, address, and total stock. Continue with counter stock to add quantities by SKU.

You cannot create the store

Check the connection message at the top of the Stores page. If the offline connection is paused or in error, activate it before trying again. Also confirm that the store code, name, and address line are not blank.
