Uninstall
Remove the Shopify app, and what happens to data when you do.
Uninstalling removes the SellingIO app from that Shopify store. The connection is removed and syncing stops. Orders already synced stay in SellingIO, and 48 hours later the buyer details on those orders are anonymised automatically.
How we keep data, and how to ask for deletion, is in the privacy policy.
Remove the app
Uninstall SellingIO from the Shopify admin of that store. Shopify notifies SellingIO (app/uninstalled). You do not need to type a callback address.
After uninstall, that store is not connected and sync has stopped. To use the store again, install SellingIO from the Shopify App Store and link it again β see install the Shopify app.
What happens to data
- The Shopify connection is removed.
- Syncing to and from that store stops.
- Orders already synced stay in the order list.
- 48 hours after you uninstall, Shopify sends SellingIO a store erasure request. SellingIO then anonymises the buyer details on every Shopify order of that store: the buyer's phone and order note, and the recipient's name, phone and shipping address. Order totals, carrier and tracking number stay, so your sales history still adds up.
- Anything else we hold can be deleted on request through the contact form.
The canonical catalogue in SellingIO is not removed by uninstalling Shopify. Other connected channels keep syncing.
How to check it worked
In the Shopify admin, SellingIO is no longer installed. In SellingIO, that store is no longer connected. Orders that had already synced are still in the order list. After 48 hours their buyer and recipient details show as removed.
You wanted the synced records gone
Uninstalling only anonymises buyer details on Shopify orders. To delete the order records themselves, or other data, send a request through the contact form. The privacy policy is the rule for what we hold and how to ask.
